Well so this is it, our southerly sojourn sees us occupying the Dunedin Public Art Gallery (some of it anyway) for just over 3 months with brand new, tripped out, large scale works examining not if the ‘consumer society’ exists, but how we are so comfortable being part of it. In a really pleasing continuation of the replacement of one of TrustMe’s new works from the SoHole site, comes this… The last replacement was a cool iteration of the original, this time a brand new work is made and installed in the same spot the original was hung.
Our friend Brownie is having a show this week, his first in a little while. We’re pretty keen to see what he’s been up to in this time! This Thursday evening between 5 & 8, above the Eco Store next to Vic Park New World. 1A Scotland St – Ponsonby, Auckland.
Coming from the term ‘high class problems’ which I came across amongst friends in the states, … They’re the type you have when life really ain’t at all that bad. TrustMe.
Pretty cool interplay going on here.. a piece from the previous soHOLE post that got adopted out has been reinterpreted and reinstalled. Only this piece is hand painted and reflected back to front! Too choice.
New work by TrustMe to accompany the spontaneous signage already in place on one of the most offensive development blights in our area. Thanks dicks.
Our friend Levi, skater, artist, designer, dog lover, features in this vid of some of Auckland’s better known bombing runs. If you know the hills then you can truly appreciate the fearlessness Levi brings to this old time skating tradition. Massive respect indeed!
